Originally released on PS4, I knew one day I would get around to playing this marvel of a game. Honestly I don't know where to start with this title as I have a multitude of things to say. I suppose we should start off with the graphics as there's really no way around it, they're beautiful, probably one of the best sighting I've ever experienced in a title. There will be loading textures when firing up the game, but it only takes a second or two till it gets going. The narrative is a big component of the game as the story will reveal itself depending on where you look. I am no stranger to these types of games as I find these types of experiences quite relaxing and captivating. However, with a map as large as this one, and an inability to speed up your movements or even a quick-travel system, getting around will be incredibly cumbersome; at least you have a lovely background of visuals and audio to distract you.
I got this on PC
The title wave of Steam Sales came again this holiday season, and with a purchase of five dollars 💰 I gotta say not a bad grab. Unfortunately, I don't know if I'm receiving a bit of fatigue with these walking-simulators, but I didn't enjoy myself as much as I think I should have. Perhaps my frustration with the game came with the fact; that besides phones and doors, there was literally nothing else to interact with. Why have such a gorgeous environment, and provide so little interaction? I enjoyed going through fields of wheat, and peeking through neighbors houses, but there really wasn't much to do, especially considering its somewhat length which was broken down into sections to create a flow.
Perfect Timing
This game really couldn't have come to me at a better moment as the themes of this title truly coincide with what's going on in my life right now. I just finish watching the TV show The Leftovers not too long ago - which I highly recommend - also I'm taking philosophy, which consists much on peoples relationship with the concept of a higher power. Although the ending is debatable as to whether what's going on was science or something else. I was left with a sense of melancholy near the end, feeling fulfilled with my stroll through this quite village in Europe.
