Confession
I am not a Dragon Ball fanatic, although I appreciate the impact the DBZ anime has had on the world, I have never really been the into the franchise. My brother on the other hand is a huge fanboy of the series, which made him my default guide for this journey. I've been playing/reviewing quite of these similar looking mobile Anime-RPG for awhile now, and I got to say this has been truly one of the most entertaining gaming adventures I've had in a bit. For you see, not only did this trek allow me to get to know more about one of Anime's biggest hits, but also a chance for my brother and I to bond.
The Game
Within Dokkan Battle, one thing will become immediate to the player, I of course refer to the insane, ADHD flashiness of the title. This game is fast, flashy, and absolutely stupendous; I'll say right now, if you are a DBZ fan, I strongly recommend this mobile app if you haven't already downloaded this. Now this is still a free-to-play title, so you will receive the negatives that come with that (micro-transactions, gotcha-systems, time-lengths, etc.). Dokkan Battle game mechanics are a toss-up of sorts, with a mixture of board gameplay and card roll-outs; the best feature of which is the puzzle mechanic which hands-down provide the most dire moments various round pick-ups.
Routine
The way I played Dokkan Battle, is very different from what I assume most players interacted with the game. First off the campaign, I'm all about clearing that check-list in video games, so easy to say there was quite amount of grinding in re-playing a multitude of the same stages, but in various difficulties. When I wasn't at an optimal level to progress in the story I spent my time in the special missions, clearing other quests that gave me the experience and knowledge to continue in DBZ. Needless to say, I very much enjoyed my time with Dokkan Battle. I'm still not quite sure if I'll continue my little saiyan saga, but I will end with this; If you are looking for a purchasable profile, contact me.
