My first Voyage
Star Fox Zero, my god if this wasn't one of the most seldom hype-trains of the year. As one of Nintendo's many prime franchises, Start Fox is a series near and dear to people's hearts. Although I for one have never been in deep admiration for the franchise, I completely understand why folks love this franchise, as space has always been place that has fascinated many since the release of Star Wars... or the Cold War, either of the two really. In all seriousness Star Fox is basically Star Wars with talking anthropomorphic animals, I mean come on "Star, Wars"... "Star! Fox!" Wake up Sheeple!
Controls
Let me make something clear, I passed the game despite the gameplay that many criticized the game for since its launch. I've never really had a problem with motion controls (and I own a Kinect), but I can see why normies, or even the gaming public had their issues with the controls. My Wii U is located in my living room, honestly its sorta now become the Family's Netflix & YouTube device. I processioned myself in such a way that allowed me to get a full view on both screens. My younger brother who is the owner of this retail title somehow managed to complete this game, and as amazing as that is I think I'll just stick to my one time linear pass.
Final Thoughts
As far as I'm concerned, for my first Star Fox game, this wasn't to bad. The game isn't really anything to right about, but the game was short enough for me have a pretty okay time. This game is nowhere near as bad as so many critics panned it for, however, seeing as this is one of Nintendo's biggest franchises - and it was essentially treated with motion controls and a reused narrative - I can see why many saw this game as fail. Although my experience wasn't as negative as I'm sure so many others, I did run into my fair share of problems, and to be honest I probably won't remember much about this game except those tough motion control moments.
