SWORD ART ONLINE: Memory Defrag

Downloading

As fun as this game is, I found myself not opening the app as much as I thought I was going to. As with any of these mobile anime-games it helps if you are actually a fan of the series, so it perplexes me that as a fan of the show I didn't end up enjoying myself as much as I thought I would. Don't get it twisted this is still a very enjoyable tactical smartphone game, however, the enjoyment is short lived.

Immersion

The gameplay is more rapid than most typical gotcha-titles, you have to be constantly vigilant during quests, rather than any turn-based style.Honestly though, with the amount of tactical titles out in the mobile market a fast paced version is actually incredibly welcomed. Alongside with a web-designed skill tree, the game lets customize-to-boot. All the way from your traditional character roll-outs to your weapons, guilds, and multiplayer options. Speaking of which, depending on how social you are, the main menu utilizes something I've never seen before in these types of games, which is an active message board? That's right folks you can actually interact with other online players in real time, the only downside being particular word limitations and the fact that Gen Z cucks completely run that whole social aspect, so if you a young viewer enjoy, and if your some creepy old-adult... enjoy 🙂. Oh and another thing! In regards to the character roll-out list, let's hope you know more than two characters from the show, because I totally have no idea who anyone here is, but at least there's fan-fair in the form of a multitude of scantily clads... which is always a plus.

Cyberspace

Here's how my time was spent with the game; as usual I mainly stuck to the main campaign where I quickly hit a wall in no-time-flat, I then delve into the events where I was also quickly met with another stand-still. As you can see when it comes to doing things in the game many aspects are short-lived, even the gotcha feature has a minimal moment usage do to the incredibly high currency requirement. In fact, out of all the smartphone anime games I've played, never have I had one that requires so much currency (that being in the form of diamonds) to perform the most menial tasks. I was really hoping to getting into this game, but the quick shortages of most the games features makes this incredibly difficult for any long-term stay on anybody's device. However, I will say if you are a fan of the series, or simply looking for a for quick action-rpg, this is worth a download if anything just to get a portable glimpse into the word of SAO.
